Only a hundred metres from Retamar Santa Matilde you will find Benalmádena, the village which has given its name to one of the most popular places on the Costa del Sol.

Benalmádena Pueblo

This idyllic village is located less than 15 minutes’ drive from Málaga airport, on the hillside with fine views over the Mediterranean. Go to the Casino Torrequebrada, enjoy life in the Puerto Marina and relax on one of the best beaches in the south of Spain – or play 18 holes on one of the area’s many golf courses. With more than 60 golf courses spread out between Málaga and Gibraltar it is no coincidence that this coast is also called Costa del Golf.

The climate

There is not a wide difference between the climate on the coast and the climate inland. During winter the temperature seldom falls below 15º C, and in summer the cooling breezes keep the temperature comfortable. The sun shines 325 days a year.
